Vanessa Negret, artiste plasticienne, est née en 1989 à Bogota, Colombie.
Vanessa Negret vit et travaille à Paris, et s’est spécialisée en gravure, dessin et peinture.
Après avoir fait sa licence en Arts plastiques à Bogotá, elle continue ses études au Mexique et ensuite en Espagne, où elle débute un doctorat en cours sur l’art urbain. Son travail repose sur l’exploration de différentes corporalités et comment, à travers la malformation, la maladie et le grotesque, s’inscrivent de nouvelles façons d’aborder le corps.
C’est ainsi que, principalement à travers des techniques bidimensionnelles telles que la xylographie, la sérigraphie, la broderie, le dessin et la peinture, elle tente d’intégrer dans l’imaginaire collectif, des images qui déforment, jouent et énoncent une série de notions nouvelles qui font aussi partie de ce qui est une anatomie alternative à la norme.
Ses expositions individuelles comprennent: Microstures, Mexico, Mexique. Érosions du Paraná et Événements physionomiques, Rosario, Argentine et Bogotá, Colombie. Pasqual pignon: Le Bicéphale Mexicain, Mexique. Zirkus zezil, Bogota, Colombie, ainsi que plusieurs expositions collectives.

Vanessa Negret, visual artist, was born in 1989 in Bogota, Colombia.
Vanessa Negret lives and works in Paris, and specializes in engraving, drawing and painting.
After completing her degree in Fine Arts in Bogotá, she continued her studies in Mexico and then in Spain, where she began a doctorate on urban art. Her work is based on the exploration of different corporealities and how, through deformity, illness and the grotesque, new ways of approaching the body are inscribed.
Thus, primarily through two-dimensional techniques such as xylography, silkscreen, embroidery, drawing and painting, she attempts to integrate into the collective imagination, images that distort, play with and articulate a series of new notions that are also part of what is an alternative anatomy to the norm.
Her solo exhibitions include: Microstures, Mexico City, Mexico. Erosions of Paraná and Physiognomic Events, Rosario, Argentina and Bogotá, Colombia. Pasqual pignon: The Mexican Bicephalus, Mexico. Zirkus zezil, Bogotá, Colombia, as well as several group exhibitions.
