Jojo le petit prince, artiste plasticien, est né en 1991 à Boulogne-Billancourt, France.
Artiste autodidacte, Jonas Raffet se forme en tant qu’éducateur spécialisé avant de se tourner vers la peinture. Il emprunte le nom d’artiste «Jojo le petit prince», une référence ironique et un moyen de s’anonymiser.
Dans ses peintures, Jojo dépeint un monde graphique et psychédélique à travers des personnages qu’il nomme «monstres». Par eux, il retranscrit des relations humaines réelles et fantasmées, et forme dans chaque tableau une mise en scène qui les habitent. La couleur bouillonnante qui convoite l’œil au premier regard prend vite des teintes métaphoriques très sombres.
La profonde mélancolie qui entoure ses personnages et leur isolement, est le reflet de son quotidien urbain et de l’exercice solitaire de la peinture. Ses recherches récentes l’amènent au travail sculptural du masque qu’il emprunte aux visages de ses proches pour leur rendre hommage. Ce visage, dit-il, comme «la porte d’entrée vers l’âme». Jojo a notamment exposé au Pavillon du Lac (2015), Panam Art Café (2016), Biennale de Paname (2017), Le Consulat Voltaire (2022).

A self-taught artist, Jonas Raffet was trained as a specialized educator before turning to painting.
He adopts the artist’s name «Jojo le petit prince», as an ironic reference and a way to become anonymous. In his paintings, Jojo depicts a graphic and psychedelic world through characters that he calls «monsters». Through them, he transcribes real and fantasized human relationships, and forms in each painting a staging that inhabits them. The bubbling color that covets the eye at first glance quickly takes on very dark metaphorical hues.
The deep melancholy that surrounds his characters and their isolation, is a reflection of his daily urban life and the solitary practice of painting. His recent research has led him to the sculptural work of the mask that he borrows from the faces of his loved ones to pay tribute to them. This face, he says, as «the doorway to the soul». Jojo has notably exhibited at the Pavillon du Lac (2015), Panam Art Café (2016), Biennale de Paname (2017), Le Consulat Voltaire (2022).
