Quentin Fromont, visual artist, was born in 1997 in Colombes.
A graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieur des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 2022, Quentin Fromont tackles areas between fiction and reality. He is interested in how fantasies can create spaces of freedom and creativity and explores the complexities of homosexual intimacy. Quentin Fromont seeks to build a complex world governed by desire and challenges pre-established norms and perceptions. Her work is steeped in the realities and struggles that LGBTQIA+ communities face. It seeks to address discrimination, taboos and the dangers that persist.
Currently resident at the Voltaire Consulate in Paris, his work has been shown as part of the opening week of the Arles Photography Festival (2023), during various group exhibitions such as at the Galerie du Crous (2023), at Houloc (2023), at 3537 (2023) or Poush Manifesto (2022). In 2023 he realized several residencies to continue his research in particular at the Maison Artagon as well as at the Spread Museum.
He co-curated the collective exhibition Et iels vécu heureu.x.ses at the Dragono in Paris (2021) and the exhibition Vestiges at 3537 in Paris (2022).
His work will soon be the subject of a solo exhibition at the Galerie du Crous in 2024.
