Quentin Lacombe, photographe, né en 1990 à Clamart (France).
Après une licence d’architecture à l’École Nationale Supérieure de Paris La Villette, Quentin Lacombe intègre le Bachelor de photographie de l’École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne et obtient son diplôme en 2016.
Son travail s’articule autour d’une pratique documentaire et d’un travail expérimental du médium photographique. Ses recherches ne se limitent pas à l’utilisation exclusive de l’appareil photographique comme moyen d’observation, elles passent aussi par l’utilisation des techniques primitives de la photographie et des outils numériques. Autant de moyens qui, une fois combinés, visent à défier l’instantanéité du medium photographique.
Quentin Lacombe a réalisé un premier livre Event Horizon publié par RVB Books (2017) qui fera partie de la sélection Aperture PhotoBook en 2017 et exposé à Paris Photo. Il participe à plusieurs expositions : Centre Photographie Genève (CH), Photoforum (CH), Foam Museum (NL), 180 The Stand (UK), Swiss Design Award (CH), Belfast Foto Festival (UK), Red Hook Labs (USA), Beconsfield Gallery (UK). Depuis 2019 il travaille à l’élaboration d’un nouveau projet appelé Crucible of Time qui à trouvé récemment ses premières opportunités d’exposition: Swiss Design Award 2021 à Art Basel (CH), ALT+1000 (CH), Galerie Laurent Godin (FR), TULCA Festival (Ireland).

Quentin Lacombe, photographer, was born in Clamart, FR.
After obtaining an architecture degree from the Ecole National Supérieur de Paris La Villette, Quentin Lacombe integrates the photography bachelor from the École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne and obtains its degree in 2016.
His work is articulated between a documentary practice and an experimental research of the photographic medium. His research is not limited by the exclusive utilisation of the camera as an observation medium, but through the use of primitive photography techniques and digital tools. As many tools that, once combined, challenge the instantaneity of photographic medium.
Quentin Lacombe has published a first book Event Horizon with RVB Books (2017), which was part of the selection “Aperture PhotoBook” in 2017 and was exhibited at Paris Photo. He has participated to several exhibitions: Centre Photographie Genève (CH), Photoforum (CH), Foam Museum (NL), 180 The Stand (UK), Swiss Design Award (CH), Belfast Foto Festival (UK), Red Hook Labs (USA), Beconsfield Gallery (UK).
