Raphaël Maman, artiste plasticien, est né en 1993 à Paris, France.
Raphaël Maman est diplômé de l’École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris (secteur design graphique) en 2018, puis de l’École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris (atelier Tatiana Trouvé) en 2022. Sa pratique de la sculpture et de l’installation interroge les notions de normes et de standards. En les observant et en s’y confrontant physiquement, il vient révéler dans ses sculptures ces inconnus qui régissent et déterminent nos quotidiens.
Son travail a été sélectionné pour «CRUSH», initié par les Beaux-Arts de Paris en 2022 et pour la 2e Biennale Artpress des jeunes artistes, au Musée Fabre et à l’espace Bagouet (Montpellier) en 2022. Il est également lauréat de la bourse «Envol », initiée par Diptyque et Jérôme Sans en 2022, du prix des Amis des Beaux-Arts de Paris (Prix Weil) en 2020, de la bourse Innovation et Savoir-faire de la Fondation Bettencourt Schueller en 2018 et du prix Da Silva en 2015.

Raphaël Maman, visual artist, was born in 1993 in Paris, FR.
Raphaël Maman graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris (graphic design sector) in 2018, and from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris (Tatiana Trouvé workshop) in 2022. His practice of sculpture and installation questions the notions of norms and standards. By observing and physically confronting them, he reveals in his sculptures these unknowns that govern and determine our daily lives.
His work has been selected for «CRUSH», initiated by the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2022 and for the 2nd Artpress Biennial of young artists, at the Musée Fabre and the Espace Bagouet (Montpellier) in 2022. He is also the recipient of the «Envol» grant, initiated by Diptyque and Jérôme Sans in 2022, the Amis des Beaux-Arts de Paris prize (Weil Prize) in 2020, the Innovation and Know-How grant from the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation in 2018 and the Da Silva prize in 2015.
